Meet The Council

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The 15-member Women’s Council is appointed by the Governor and legislative leaders, including 11 public members and four current state legislators.  By statute, the Governor holds a seat on the Council, which he or she may fill with a Governor's Designee. The Governor also appoints the Council's Chair.  ​
